If you’ve ever tried applying for a traditional education loan, you know the drill — admission letter, three rounds of bank visits, a co-applicant who has to be physically present, two months of “still processing.” Securis isn’t that. Here’s exactly what the application looks like, what you’ll need ready, and the small things that speed it up.
Before you start
Have these on hand. You don’t need to upload anything during the form, but the information needs to be accurate so we can verify quickly afterwards:
- Aadhaar name — your name exactly as it appears on Aadhaar
- Date of birth (parent’s too, if you’re applying with a parent as the primary)
- WhatsApp number that you actually use — we’ll reach out here
- College / institute name + course name + enrollment year
- Rough income range if you’re working — both salaried and self-employed paths are supported
If you’re a college student with no income, that’s fine — your parent or guardian fills in as the primary applicant. The application has a clear path for both.
Step 1: Tell us who you are
The first question is whether you’re a parent / guardian applying for your child, or a student applying for yourself. This decides what the next steps ask.
- Parent / guardian flow: we ask about you (the borrower), then about the student
- Student flow: we ask about you (the student), and only ask for a co-borrower if your income or credit profile says you need one
Step 2: The form itself
Either flow walks you through 7-10 short steps with 2-4 fields per step — quicker than a typical Google Form. Each step has its own focus: identity, financial profile, work, education, loan ask. You’ll see a progress bar at the top so you always know how far along you are.
Two specific things worth flagging:
- WhatsApp validation is strict. We accept Indian 10-digit mobile numbers starting with 6, 7, 8, or 9. No spaces, no
+91. If you mistype, we’ll tell you on the next click. - College + course autocomplete. Start typing “IIT” or “B.Tech” — you’ll see suggestions. Saves typing and avoids typos that slow down our verification later.
Step 3: The loan ask
You’ll pick:
- Purpose — hostel & mess, daily expenses (food, travel, activities), laptop / books / stationery, or all of the above
- Amount — anywhere from less than ₹10,000 to more than ₹1,00,000
- Course duration — 1 to 10 years

Step 4: Review
Before submitting, you go through a section-by-section review. Every section has an Edit button — fix anything that’s wrong, jump back to the form step, edit, and you’ll land right back on the same review section. No re-walking the entire form.
The final review section asks you to confirm a consent box covering Privacy Policy, Terms & Conditions, and authorization for us to contact you on the WhatsApp number provided.
What happens after you hit Submit
You see a “We’ll WhatsApp you within 1-2 working days” confirmation, with a button to message us directly on WhatsApp if you want to talk sooner.
Behind the scenes:
- Your application lands in our team’s inbox immediately
- A team member reviews it the same or next working day
- We may message you on WhatsApp asking for one or two specific document pictures (Aadhaar, college ID, pay slip if salaried — whatever’s relevant)
- Once verified, we share your offer — interest rate, tenure, EMI — for you to accept or decline
- On acceptance, the loan is disbursed to your bank account, typically within 24 hours
The whole arc — application to disbursement — is usually 2-4 working days for a clean profile. Compare this to traditional education loans where 30-60 days is common.
What slows it down
A few things to avoid:
- Mismatched names. If your form says “Rahul” but your Aadhaar says “Rahul Kumar Sharma”, we’ll need to clarify
- Wrong WhatsApp number. If we can’t reach you, the application stalls
- Cash-only income with no documentation — we can still help, but verification takes longer
What if you change your mind mid-application?
Your progress is saved automatically. Close the tab, come back tomorrow, click Apply Now — you’ll resume where you left off. We don’t keep this stored forever (it clears when you close your browser fully) so don’t wait weeks, but a few hours or a day is fine.
